I’ve been asked the question “Why should I shop online?” and my response is always the same. Convenience, cost and security. My friends sometimes look at me with questioning looks on their faces as if to say “why should I shop online when the store is just a few miles away from my house?” Once again, my response is the same as above.
We need to learn about the wonderful advantages of shopping online and why it could save you time and money. In this article I will try to break it down for you, step by step. Hopefully after you read this article, you will feel confident enough to venture into the wonderful world of online shopping and yes, selfishly, I hope you’ll do it right here on our megamall.

Convenience - When shopping online, you don’t have to leave your house. All you need is a computer and access to the internet. So if you want to go shopping in your PJ’s and slippers, you can do that.
This will save you time. You won’t have to battle traffic and road hazards in an attempt to make it to all your shopping destinations. Once at the store, you won’t have to battle long lines and other patrons either. This actually seems like a no brainer to me. Why would you want to spend all your time in traffic and then battle all the line-ups at the store? On those hot or cold days, you can shop from the comfort of your home, in your temperature controlled room or office.
That brings me up to another convenience of online shopping. You can shop from your office. This can be done on your breaks or lunchtime. You never have to leave your office and worry about making it back to work on time.

Cost Savings - It’s cheaper to shop online. Besides the cost of your internet provider, you will definitely save money. The reason is simple. Online stores are much cheaper for the merchant to operate, so they pass on the savings to their customers. Many merchants will offer internet only coupons. Merchants that operate online have built in cost savers that help them maximize profit. If they can lure you to their store, they will receive a greater Return On Investment.

With this recession (or whatever buzz word the government wants to call it) any chance that you can save on your purchases is a great benefit to you and online shopping can save you money.
High gas prices have definitely put a dent on our wallets. With online shopping, you don’t need to worry about filling your gas tank, just to make it to the store. This is a definite cost savings to you.

Security - You may be surprised to read this statement but it’s true. Online shopping can provide you with added security with your purchases. You don’t have to worry about being robbed or mugged on your way to the store but you should be prepared for cyber thieves and hackers. To truly have a secure environment when shopping online, you should have up to date internet and computer security software, spam and adware software, firewall software and a security enabled home network. All these tools are easy to implement and add to your computer and will provide you with an environment that we believe is much safer and secure then the brick and mortar store.
