A Change In Character?

It does seem obvious to me that there has been a change in character with the management and coaching staff of the Minnesota Vikings.  It actually looks like there's a real head coach (Brad Childress) on the sidelines.

While I believe that management and the coaching staff will demand that their players exhibit better character off the field, their efforts may be falling on deaf ears.

This off season saw the end of Koren Robinson as a player for the Vikings.  He was released this weekend.

Robinson was arrested for DUI after leading police officers in a high speed chase.

Robinson seemed to have turned the corner and put his alcohol and legal troubles behind him.  the Vikings signed him to a lucrative contract in the offseason but the contract wasn't guaranteed.

This past weekend saw another Viking in trouble with police.  Dwight Smith was cited for a misdemeanor for indecent exposure outside a Minneapolis night club.

I believe that Brad Childress will do his best to instill character in his team and won't tolerate this type of immature and criminal behavior from his players.

The problem is that there may not be any players left.  It seems that many current NFL players are degenerates who are unable to function in our society without breaking the law.

I will try to keep a positive outlook with the Vikings and hope that their players start to act like law abiding citizens.
